I find contact with my readers important. Not only to answer the many questions, but also to hear how my book (s) are received. Good, substantiated feedback is the basis for growth.
After 28 years of successful authorship, writing a book may seem like a breeze, but the opposite is true. Every book is a struggle, an interplay of thinking, putting together, empathizing, persevering and a lot of patience. The main characters become your friends, you live with them for weeks, you understand them and shape them.
When the book is finally finished, it feels like the birth of a child. A child that no one is allowed to touch, that you love and that you want to protect with all your love. Inevitably, however, the moment will come when your book will go out into the wide world and meet people who devour it, have an opinion or simply ignore it.
And that is good. Because as long as we all continue to realize that books, paintings, poems, images, music, theater and all those other forms of creating come from someone’s heart and soul, we are building an inspiring world together.
I am happy to answer your questions and / or reactions.
